![]() ![]() The laws for how the locks bind to props can differ by age group. They must bind to each other as well as to the props. Rules for locks: The tall timber in the second row put their heads between the props and hooker. However, a bind is only legal if it is attached along the entire length of the arm, from hand to shoulder, and it is below the armpit. That is why I have dug into the rules surrounding the scrum and compiled a little post with everything you need to know to avoid looking like a clown. Funny as that is, it made me realise that even us backline players do need to know the scrum rules, to avoid situations like these.
